Cleaning Operative - (Part time) Grasmere

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for energetic, confident and sociable people with an eye for detail to join our team. Our customer’s expectations are high and we work hard to ensure that they are not disappointed, taking pride in going the extra mile whenever possible.
You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained throughout our establishments.
Main Duties will include:

  • Cleaning Facilities including WCs and Offices
  • Vacuuming areas which will be a mix of carpeted and hard floor
  • Ensuring all chemicals are used and stored safely according to COSHH regulations
  • Mopping areas including kitchen’s and WCs
  • Wiping down chairs and tables
  • Internal and external glass cleaning

ABOUT YOU

Previous experience in the cleaning industry would be beneficial; however, training will be given.
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a willingness to learn, in order to deliver excellent service to our customers.
You should also show trustworthiness and reliability and be able to work as part of a team and alone without supervision.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Holiday Property Cleaners (for Fridays)



Hours: 10am to 4pm (but other hours available to suit)

Hourly Rate:£8.24 - £9.45 per hour.

Maintenance Person

We're looking for a full-time Maintenance Person to join our team working in the hundreds of holiday properties, schools and businesses we support. The role is 40-hours-a-week (over 5 days, including Saturdays) and overtime and call-outs are available.

TWILIGHT CLEANING SUPERVISOR (Cleaner in Charge / Account Liaison)



Job Description:

South Lakes Services are a forward looking, expanding business in the heart of South Lakeland. To help with the growth we have an in house cleaning/supervising team that visit each business/school to ensure everything is running smoothly. Working directly with the cleaners and in constant contact with your line manager you will be the face of our business throughout all our contracts.

Objective:

The objective of the Twilight Cleaning Supervisor is to work as a team player within the whole business and contribute to expanding our schools and business cleaning service. You will work alongside our current team and on your own to ensure existing schools and businesses are cleaned and serviced to the highest standard.

Key tasks:

• Team worker within all departments of the business.

• Ability to work to specific instructions and ensuring the timely completion of jobs which have been booked.

• Liaising and communication with departments throughout the business.

• Be available for emergency call out duties.

• Attend properties to assess issues and advise accordingly.

• Operate within guidelines and relevant legislation.

• Communicating with clients, tenants and landlords.

• Continuous promotion of the Maintenance and Grounds Service

• Ensuring that materials and resources are kept in stock and good condition.

• Controlling and operating the use of tools and machinery.

Knowledge and Experience:

Working knowledge of the following:

• Experience in cleaning.

• Experience with people management.

• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

• A good standard of spoken & written English is essential.

• Knowledge of the Lake District is beneficial.

• A full clean valid driving license is essential.

Job Location:

The post is based at our depot in Lindale however your work will be carried out throughout the lakes. You will from time to time be provided with a company van to attend jobs.

Duration:

This full time post is offered on a permanent basis, subject to satisfactory references and the completion of a three month probationary period.

Salary:

Generous salary dependant on experience.

Holiday Entitlement:

The holiday entitlement is 20 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays.

Working Arrangements:

Core working hours are Monday to Friday 3.00pm to 9:00pm, please be aware this is subject to change dependant on work load.
